So a month or so ago, Harley got bored one day while his people were at work and threw 25 pounds of Miracle-Gro potting soil into the pool. Bad dog!
The pool has been green ever since. Jesse X did his best to fix it, but finally had to call in professionals. They've been trying everything they can. In the meantime, Dusie has been getting more and more cranky and frustrated as she's under a lot of stress. (Not coming from me--I've only been here a week, and I clean up and vacuum and even did the dog poop patrol.) Finally the word came down today--the only way to fix it is by draining the water out and refilling it. The problem is you really should not drain a pool between April and October because cracks will form in the plaster and break the pool.
So when they got home tonight and consulted with the pool guy and Jesse filled me in on the plan. The pool drains tonight, and then tomorrow they refill. There will be hoses that have to be moved around and the sides have to be sprayed every 10 minutes.
"Well, that's better than what I thought it would be," I said. "I imagined you'd maybe get me a beer hat and a few gallons of Kool-Aid, and set me out there in the middle with a scrub brush to keep it wet and clean it out."
Then he laughed at me.
Have I mentioned I don't have a bathing suit?
Wish me luck!

since no bathing suit & the pool will be drained, consider learning how to skateboard (lol)
