In Which I Take To Drink

But honestly, this day called for it.

I got a message this afternoon that Specs, the cat I rescued this spring, has kidney failure. I have a call in to Isadora, but it might be the end for a spunky little loudmouth.

Then driving home, my car's check engine light came on.

I then open my mail and find a $400 gas bill from Dominion East Ohio. All I can think is that in early December, when she accompanied the plumber to winterize the house, my realtor turned on the furnace and left it on. No, really. Because the whole point of winterizing the house is that you don't need to turn the heat on to save the pipes from freezing.

"Angry" does not encompass my mood.

I had a bourbon and gingerale for dinner. Can you blame me?

OH. MY. GAWD. Four hundred frigging DOLLARS?!?!

On top of the cat and the car...

Just top off the drink. Some days, you're not proving anything by staying awake past 7 p.m.

So - can you make the realtor pay it? Too bad the pilot light was on or else maybe you'd be able to cash in on some homeowner's insurance ;).
