A couple of things I've run across lately that I'd like to recommend on general coolness, not my personal enjoyment.
Friday night movies at the Biltmore. They are free, outdoors on the lawn and they've got a great lineup picked.
Monday night Scrabble at Urban Beans.
Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale sponsors tons of author appearances. My mom went to see Linda Fairstein this week, and was pleased to see C.J.Box is also coming to town. So is humorous fantasy author Christopher Moore, and April brings both Martha Grimes and my favorite, Lisa Lutz.
