Once again, I am behind the 8 ball with school and although my stress and angst has not hit its highest gear, I seem to be battling allergies or a cold and also thinking up grand, grand plans. Such is the life of a meglomaniacal smart girl with more ideas than energy. I really wish I could be one of those people who thrive on constant busyness, but in the end I am mistress of the slack. Oh well. I am also getting ready to visit the ever-wonderful Genevieve and my parents next weekend.
The house is a mess, the cats shed a kitten's worth of fur every time I brush one, outside the house is an even bigger mess, the ex still has not picked up his crap and I do not know if he intends to, I have started three home improvement projects and stalled on each.
On the other hand, I have purchased a planner. It may be another portent of doom. And I also ordered the book Getting Things Done, which I mentally refer to as Getting Shit Done. And I am going to be trying the Apartment Therapy Cure.
I have also discovered the megabus thanks to NPR (partial redemption there) and I see trip(s) to Chicago in my future.

three of my favorite things as i tackle my projects?
1. freecycle.org. for giving, for taking, for unloading...
2. lists. on post-its, on pretty paper, in an email message to myself, whatever.
3. rewards. a pedicure after a weekend of heavy-duty yard work, dinner out after ten straight days of cooking. it's all about bribes.
3.5. asking for help, in whatever form you may need...
wow...megabus looks great.
