There's no one interesting visiting The Poisoned Pen in the near future. I should go up to the park and canal on the Scottsdale border for a look around--it seems like a cool area.

I am really longing for a monsoon. If it doesn't rain soon, I might have to hatch plans to flee to a cooler clime for the day at least. A/C can only do so much. So can Ladies' Night at Trader Vic's, which also has a special prix fixe menu for $30 Sunday through Thursday. It includes 3 courses and a cocktail. A Mai Tai does not substitute for a monsoon. Be wary!
