But I want to go to The Duce. The big problem is that it is so far downtown (think two blocks south of the old Sweet Pea and Royal Coffee Bar location behind the jail) that I'd need to take the bike on the light rail, unless I get down there in the next week when my mom loans me her car.

Oh, come on--over the top coolery can be amusing. On the one hand it may be neat (they have a soda fountain) but if it's too cool then you hold all your spiteful comments until you're down the block. Unless you can actually do sotto voce, in which case go ahead, it's a free country.
