Etsy v. Ebay?

I need some opinions/advice here. I have some stuff that I am looking to sell. Actually, quite a lot of stuff. Lots of books and vintage and sewing stuff that I moved across country (I know! All I can say is that I could have been even dopier and moved even more) and is just cluttering up the place. The books I know are best sold on eBay and through bookstores in the area, the vintage household goods I can try to unload on eBay too, any clothes can go to the consignment store Turnstyle, but what to do with my vintage patterns and buttons, and etc? Is Etsy a better option for that and vintage clothing? Or should I just do it all on Ebay?

I do very little shopping on Ebay any more. I find Etsy is more convenient for users as you can easily be in touch with the seller and find out more about the items, which seems like it would be nice for vintage stuff. So I vote Etsy. That's the kind of stuff I see on there more, anyways.
