This Is Not A New Problem

I love how The New York Times thinks girl on girl bullying in grammar school is new.

My history of bullying started in 2nd grade, 28 years ago. I was awkward, with poor social skills, and probably both slightly irritating and good bait.

My sister and I have been talking about this a lot lately, because she at least wants to try to shield her daughter from violence and sex in popular culture and does believe tv is not good for littles and they should have a childhood. She realizes she may be setting Peaches up to be bullied. I don't know what to tell her. I wouldn't wish any of my childhood interactions with my peers on my niece. I had it about as bad as you could back then, and with technology, it's even worse.
