Another Library Video Slays Me With Cute

Gumdrops by The Smittens.

By the way, now is an excellent time to pick up a copy of The Maltese Falcon. It's an atmospheric read, full of San Francisco gray and melancholy, a little bitter, and perfect for the fall and winter months. It's also the NEA's selection for The Big Read. The Phoenix Public Library has programming centered around it this fall. Hammet's a deceptively easy read--there's much more going on between the lines than the style and language suggest. He's one of my favorite 20th century writers.
